If Golovkin wasn't the professional and bigger man that he is he could really turn Canelo into a media and fan piñata right now. But he won't and he needs to rid himself of Canelo think. He doesn't need him at all.

I was hoping to watch GGG pound Canelo into submission, so this sucks for me. Canelo won't suffer either, his fans will still pay to watch him fight a no hoper. Who can we consider as GGGs signature opponent now?

Ideally Charlo drops stay busy fight 3 weeks away and comes in already trained up, mandatory and champ get it done. Honestly I'd pay for that before a Canelo rematch. Then again Jacobs could do same and that's a rematch that surprisingly went silent. Also the only fight I had Golovkin losing by a point. . But today that sounds like a fairytale with promotions etc. Andrade has been floated a lot but think Golovkin makes him a bug on the windshield.

I wanted Canelo to get battered too.

Now he has avoided a certain loss and will continue to fight with his loyal fans paying over the odds for him to beat Smith and Rhodes type opponents.

What is to say Canelo did not delibetaretly sabotage the fight?

Now I'm no fan of old ginger pubes but there are plenty of ways to get out of/delay/sabotage a fight other than failing a drug test and having a black Mark above your name for the rest of your career.

True but this way he will never be asked to fight GGG again. I know I am stretching the point but just when I thought I could not hate Canelo any more than I do, he does this.

I would like to see him banned for a couple of years. It's time to set an example and show people that cheating is not how you get things done. Would it be possible for Golovkin to sue him for loss of earnings or something like that? Golovkin already delayed fighting Canelo and now Canelo has cheated and pulled out. It's very messed up. I would be interested in really tightening the screw if I was GGG.
