    The warrior who came out and in less than 3 rounds destroyed the lethal Tommy Hearns...... decides to pussyfoot around with Leonard, fighting righty and giving away rounds. Especially an old veteran who knew the ropes and how judges can turn in dodgy decisions. "Fishy" is kind of an understatement with me. Then he walks away from boxing, having never settled the score.

    I think you are reading too much into it. Hagler knew he blew it and knew Leonard would make him beg for the rematch which he was not prepared to do.
