Loma is incredible, his boxing skills, speed, accuracy, workrate and confidence is up there with the greats.
Amazing fighter and the body shot was vicious.
Loma has the work rate of Joe Calzaghe and the skills of Sweet Pea.

He is fantastic. I find it a little bit overwhelming to even watch him sometimes. He is like a perpetual motion machine. Yes, he does remind me a bit of Calzaghe with a bit of vintage Manny in there too with all the body movement and angles. Lomachenko is so difficult because you cannot train for that style. You will maybe have some openings here and there but knowing when they are to be able to land anything meaningful is difficult. Fighters inevitably get outworked as the other man won't stop working. I like this kind of fighter and think it is the perfect style to beat a Mayweather type. Swarm him, overwhelm him, throw, throw, throw. Even ice will melt before a windmill.
I knew Loma was good but not that good that he would overwhelm Jorge Liniares.
Glad he got knocked down just to show his team that they can not rush him up the weights. He has some good challenges at this weight. Stay here.

Both guys put on an excellent fight. Linares showed his class, he was just caught with a perfect shot to the body. I think Loma was getting to Linares again at that point, and if allowed to continue the end was near.
The knockdown could be the best thing to happen to Loma. It reminded him not to get careless, and probably grounded/ humbled him a little. Like he said at the end, Linares taught him another lesson.
I had it pretty close at the end, a rematch at some stage would be nice.
Garcia/ Loma could be spectacular.

Would Floyd return for Loma?

Lomachenko is a living legend, absolutely no doubt that is what we are watching everytime he fights.
I see massive similarities with Sugar Ray Robinson when i watch him.... he really is technically that good. (arguably better footwork than Robinson too)
I'm not suggesting he can be put up there with Robinson because fighters don't have 20 - 30 fights per year anymore, but style wise, punch selection, technique and skill set the two are very similar.
Robinson telegraphed his punches a lot more but i'd bet a lot of money that Lomachenkos father (trainer) is a big Robinson fan![]()

What I will say about Loma is that he fights in a very unique style. He is amazing at what he does. Amazing footwork and punching angles. Great defense. Decent punching power. He knows when and when not to punch and throw combinations and flurries.
As I said in another post, I think that he proved a lot between the lightweight champ, but I think he should go back down in weight and completely wipe out 126 and 130.
