Davis looked very sharp and improved last out. He has seemingly righted his mind and matured a bit. But one fight is one fight and lets be honest Cuellar has the mobility of a firmly rooted tree. Style wise he is more erratic and unpredictable than say a Linares but is levels below in experience and straight line power that found Loma more than I think some let on. When's the last time you've seen Loma batted with a 5 punch combo and knocked off balance badly like that? Davis is a star in the making and on the right track but for his best effort vs a Loma he will need to have swam deeper waters before jumping in. He's a definite player though one to watch.
Lomachenko does to Davis what he did to Nicholas Walters
I'm normally not into waiting for fights but frankly Davis isn't ready for such a top top matchup. Maybe he progresses and is ready in a year or 2. Either way would like to see it because Davis speed/power and southpaw stance keeping Loma from hopping right would be intriguing.
The fans should start pressuring Bob into a Garcia matchup. That should be for all the belts after each gets their 2nd belt next fight.
Would love to see the fight happen. Loma is a badass, Davis is a badass, get both badasses in the ring and see who comes out on top.
Loma is at the peak of his game, Davis is getting to the summit of his game, it'll be interesting to see where their careers end up.
I heard Floyd was pissed with Gervonta for mouthing off, and was going to throw him in with Loma. Right now Davis loses. There's a couple of fights at 130 with Berchelt or Machado, then make a move to 135. I also think Davis gets better under Kevin Cunningham, so in a few fights it could be a big event.
