Whether or not the punishment fits the offense is debatable. My point all along is that celebrities and other public figures have a responsibility that goes along with the money and fame. It's their responsibility to behave like an adult whether in front of the cameras and microphones, or purposefully putting something on Twitter. Like it or not, the world is full of sheep-like people who will mimic whatever their favorite celebrities say and do. Unfortunate but true. So offensive speech begets offensive speech and so on and so forth.
The second point is that it's my personal experience and opinion that people who let racist or sexist comments slip out, whether they were sleepy or drunk, or in the middle of an Ambien-babble©, actually have racist feelings and beliefs inside.
They're what would you say....... "closet racists."
@Master is right he has changed my mind and I have seen the light I am definitely a brown person and therefore I will not go to that edl rally

Can you imagine I was going to bring my wife? Her father's father was born in West Bengal State just outside of Calcutta and her mother's mother was born in Rampur, just outside of Lucknow India.
Imagine me a brown skin Armenian with my Indian wife at one of those rallies in London.
