Do Joey, Dawson and Pacey still knock about down there in Wilmington? Always thought it looked a heavenly place, the "poor" people had farms and beach houses and motors and boats and all sorts, and the dumb kids could recite shakespeare on a whim, was a bit white though come to think of it

Wilmington is expensive as hell. The surrounding towns are fairly poor unless they have beach access. If you ever wondered where tobacco came from it's these areas. Not a lot going on in many of those towns. Great area though, great people too....I do wonder if they just weren't ready for brockton. There's enough yankees in Wilmington for them to be open and accepting of a fellow yankee and the southerners would be nice I would imagine....what did you do to those poor people brock?

people are walking around there in a daze, no peripheral vision, no awareness of people standing right next to them, no nuanced behavior like a slight nod of the head or tip of a hat or subtle wave hello or a quiet "How ya doin'?" while passing in a quiet shop, it was like they were totally unaware of how to communicate, we'd ask a simple question at a restaurant or bar and the workers would just stare for like 5 seconds, SLOW AS ALL HELL THATS FOR SURE, and then look kind of phony-friendly like they were forcing themselves to be nice, its a totally different interpersonal vibe, for us it was really slow, distant, phony and odd.

Yeah Rich it's a true story. Those people down in Wilmington North Carolina I have to be honest I grew up my entire life here in the New York-New Jersey area and I am used to having 1 Ethiopian 2 Armenians 3 Arabs 4 Chinese 5 Jews 6 Blacks and 7 Indians IN THE SAME DAMN ROOM WITH ME AT ALL TIMES. Being in North Carolina was like Bean in a 1935 movie filmed in Des Moines Iowa. It was like seeing every single great-grandchild of all the Germans and the Dutch and the English who came over here in 1640. It was wall-to-wall Anglo-Saxon like out of a movie. I have never been in an environment like that before.

THE PEOPLE WHERE I LIVE ARE FAST AS LIGHTNING AND VERY SHARP AND HAVE THE BEST INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
