Fool. Skill wise MAB/Morales are above Casamayor but even Morales isn't that dumb surely. I think MAB has enought skill to out box a more slender Chavez but hell who knows what weight Casamayor would turn in at. MAB fights at close to his walking round weight all these other guys you're talking about pack on well over 14lbs between fights and much of that goes back on come fight night. Too big a natural size advantage.

I disagree Ace, I feel Casamayor is just as good if not better technically than both Barrera & Morales (Barrera being the better of the two). I think with Barreras last performance against Juarez he showed his talents. I think Joel could make 130 easy with all those years on the Cuban amatuer team he knows a thing or two about making weight. Csamayor by UD!

what your saying is fair.. and might be true...
but if you ask me barrera take the fight on sheer guts and just being such a warrior ....
i just dont see casamoyor bieng able to beat barrera, i dont think he matches up to him... i find it hard to explain cos i dont see barrera outclassing him skillwise speedwise or any such attributes... not saying he doesnt, just dont think they are factors....forget boxing
barrera is tough.period. and frankly i dont see joel hanging with him in boxing mma whereever cos when it all comes down to it .. its a fight..
    peace
    Yup I agree

If Casa moved down to Barreras weight hed be powerless against the skooling hed receive . It would be like Barrera - Juarez 2 . At lightweight though it suits Casa alot more . Maybe Erik will be looking to relaunch himself after the Pac loss at a new weight but with 3 staright losses Casa wont be looking at him . He wants Barrera

Juarez is nowhere near as good a boxer as Casamayor, and he is naturally a good 10 pounds smaller. I don't know if Casa planned on moving down to 130, but I surely doubt that.. He would be calling Barerra up to lightweight as far as Im concerned.

I think I read on ESPN that Casamayor said he can still make 130 if he has to but would prefer not to. For Barrera I think he would drop down, it seems that Barrera is the only guy Joel is targeting

Well if you saw MAB get a beat down from a counter punching southpaw wouldn't you jump at the chance to fight him

I think its more than that, one of Cuba's greatest Vs one of Mexico's. But IMO Casamayor schools Barrea, Pacquiao & Morales.

Because he's the bigger name and the smaller guy.
