Halfway thru the co-feature. Showed Pac and Lucas getting their instructions, nothing they haven't heard 1,000 times before.

Well... maybe it will last the distance. Seems to have settled into the same rhythm. Thepora lurching around launching his wide shots, and Ortega content with just crowding Thepora and peppering him with his straighter combinations. Glad I saw the previous fight.

    SHOCKER!!!

Thepora dropped Ortega with about 30 seconds left in the round with a HUGE right uppercut. Ortega tried to recover, but again...... fight was stopped with mere seconds remaining in the round. Crowd woke up suddenly.

    Next up....... Pac-Matthysse.

Ortega was dominating the fight, IMO. But got caught with a clean right uppercut. Thought the end of the round would save him, but the ref waved it off couldn't have been more than 5 seconds left in the round.

2:38 of Round 9. Thought there was less time than that. Good stoppage.

Here we go. I like both guys as fighters and as people. Have a gut feeling this might not end well for Manny. Hoping it's a great fight, and both perform well. Don't see Manny going too much further in the game, TBH. Getting up there in age, and he's totally into his politics. At some point he'll have to let it go.

Beautiful right upper but he ducked into it a little bit.

It looks better on women. I had a girlfriend in New York who used to have a rubber SS uniform with the cap and everything. I got her one of those Corona outfits too.

    The dreaded question:

Who do you want to fight next?

Manny dodged it skillfully, like any good politician would.

Thank God he didn't get carried away and say "bring on Spence and Crawford".

Lucas, what do you want to say to your fans back in Argentina?

"Hey guys, give me a break. You all lost to France."

That went pretty much as I expected. Even at this stage Pac was always going to be too much for Matthysse. I'd like to see Pac vs Mikey.

Waseem was very impressive against Mthalane, who I rate very highly, although he has been relatively inactive over the last few years and is getting up in age. That fight could have gone either way. I gave it to Mthalane by 114-113.

Lu was pushed way too early, great to see a guy challenge himself but the leap was gigantic. I hope the loss doesn't effect him badly.
