It is concerning. I was in the UK in a taxi on a friday or saturday and all the radio was talking about was how much people must be looking forward to essentially getting wasted over the weekend. I found it very strange.

Sadly that is probably true, Brock. I like the conservatism and strong family structures of some countries and it tends to reduce such wayward elements. In any UK city on a weekend night you will find unconscious scantily clad women drooling on the floor. Now maybe they do indeed have 'a lovely rack' but that doesn't make up for being in such a state. It's a rather sorry state of affairs. In the UK women on average drink the same as the men. By contrast British men are pretty low in the table of global drinkers.

If you address somebody in pigeon English or Swahili do not expect the Queen's English back.
