Football is being killed...it's not JUST Colin Kaepernick but he's a part of it. I think most of it is concussions and CTE but also the literal criminals playing (middle school through the pros...they're given passes for whatever reason) I know I've played with some who've spent time in the hoosegow.

There was a time I slept, ate, drank, and breathed nothing but football.....now I watch soccer and baseball and play hockey...the game has been changed, the rules have been changed, and the athletes who yes are entitled to their opinions and actions have alienated a good portion of the fanbase. You see similar results from Hollywood as well....I think we're hitting "peak woke" and people in flyover country are just saying "Fuck this I'll watch or do something else because I don't care for what this has become"
I don't see the point in watching any new films. It all seems to be comic book films with buildings toppling all over the place or else agenda based films. It's just poor. I try to check out older films that I might have missed. New films are silly and if I want to play something that looks like a computer game I will........I dunno.....play a computer game!

Dan: "Gee Bob, thanks for fixing my car. I swear you're the best mechanic in the whole state!"

Bob: "Dan, let me tell you about Global Warming"

    Dan:
That part reminds me of Bill Burrs bit on the first lady spouting her views. And likening it to calling a plumber, getting his opinion and then the plumber's wife jumping in and giving her opinion on the problem.

    Well the numbers speak

Talk of Nike Inc. sales taking a hit from the company’s decision to put ex–NFL player Colin Kaepernick at the center of its latest “Just Do It” campaign is looking overblown, based on data from a Silicon Valley digital commerce research company.

After an initial dip immediately after the news broke, Nike’s NKE, -0.12% online sales actually grew 31% from the Sunday of Labor Day weekend through Tuesday, as compared with a 17% gain recorded for the same period of 2017, according to San Francisco–based Edison Trends.

Was always going to happen. Those with 401ks invested and shareholders will be happy again now.

Let’s see if it holds up. Stock needs to recover what it lost first. If it continues companies will learn there is money to be made on #whitegenocide

I know you miss Denilson but you do not have to try and get him back.

Ratings for the NFL’s season opener on Thursday night fell 8 percent from last year’s opener — to their lowest level in a decade.

The decline came even after the TV audience for last year’s opener declined 19 percent from 2016’s opener, statistics out Friday revealed.

The “Thursday Night Football” telecast on NBC, delayed 45 minutes due to severe weather in the Philadelphia area, averaged a 13.4 overnight rating.

That made it the lowest season opener in 10 years, according to Sports Media Watch — and breathed new life into fears about the NFL being unable to extricate itself from a structural decline.

Lowest in ten years. I didn’t watch the game either but I’ll probably still watch the patriots play if given the chance
