The machine gun was invented by a doctor during the civil war. He was tending so many injuries he thought putting a weapon like that on the battlefield would decrease the need for soldiers and bring about less injury

The gattling gun on the A-10 has it's own diesel engine.....it is a sweet sweet weapon.
