Another good thread. Quality stuff, bro. Good break from the non-boxing wars.
I'm gonna go by method of elimination. Munguia is the first one out of my voting. He's the 2nd coming of Canelo, and is being groomed as such. He'll be fed appropriate opposition until his record reaches Canelo-bloated proportions. He's also a big, wild kid who goes for the KTFO with every punch. They fed him a slick boxer in Liam Smith, but that will be the exception rather than the rule.
Hurd is next. He's a huge superwelter, and could easily go up soon. If he does, that might be the end of his "0", and I'd be proven wrong. But while he's at 154, I don't see him losing his "0" before one of the others.
To me it's between Charlo and Castaño. But Charlo is formidable, and generally an avoided opponent. Castaño is a tough Argentinian, but with the least pro experience of the bunch. Only a handful of fights in the States, too. If anybody's gonna lose their "0" first, I think it'll be Castaño, probably when he fights in the U.S. and they pit him against elite opposition.
Good breakdown Tito, I agree with you on the 1st 2. I'd pick Hurd over Charlo (hope that fight gets made).
I like that Munguia is been kept active, he still needs lots of work but is already decent. He has been talking unifications but I think you're right that he'll be moved safely.
I actually think Castano is the dark horse of the division. Once he starts fighting and beating these other guys, I think many will jump on his bandwagon and realize his talent.
I'm picking Charlo. Now don't get me wrong, he is also a very good fighter and his ko of Lubin raised eyes, and his opposition has been decent, I just feel the Hurd/Charlo fight materialises before the other 2 lose.
I could be wrong tho, as Castano holds the same belt as Hurd (WBA) so they might be forced to unify 1st.
