Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein proposed secretly recording conversations in the Oval Office with President Trump last year and discussed the possibility of Cabinet officials invoking the 25th Amendment to remove the president, according to The New York Times.

The newspaper, citing people familiar with the matter, reported on Friday that Rosenstein made comments to other Justice Department officials in meetings in spring 2017 about secretly recording Trump after the president fired FBI Director James Comey in May.

They create a dossier, a FAKE dossier, they chirp to the media about it "unnamed sources say", the FBI folks then take the articles THEY are the unnamed sources in, hand it over as evidence that corroborates their fake dossier and boom FISA warrants.

They didn't create a dossier. So far not a single thing in that dossier has been proved incorrect. The evidence they used to corroborate the dossier was not articles in the media, but they did corroborate it which would indicate the information in the dossier is correct. A FISA warrant had already been issued to wiretap Page a couple of years previously to him joining the Trump campaign so it's not like there wasn't evidence of his involvement with foreign intelligence people already. Then another FISA warrant was produced to wiretap Page a few months after he left the Trump campaign. There's a way to tell whether the FBI used that warrant to look back through Page's previous communications, apparently it's called the minimisation part of the warrant, but Trump isn't declassifying that part of the warrant for some reason.

This will be another Nunes memo. Remember the Nunes memo Lyle? It was going to be bigger than Watergate, remember? You were convinced that it was going to blow the lid off the whole thing. Instead it got picked apart five minutes after it got released. This will be the same. The real world will read or watch experts explain why it doesn't mean anything but Fox News viewers and conservative media consumers will be fed a load of bullshit about how it proves everything they've been saying is true.

Don't you think it's pretty pathetic that the best evidence the Trumpers can come up with to prove this deep state conspiracy is claims that some of the evidence used to get a FISA warrant reissued against a probable spy who had left the Trump campaign may have been manufactured by the FBI? I mean if they're the deep state why not just wiretap the actual Trump campaign, not somebody who had left it? Why reopen the Hillary email investigation the week before the election and announce there was no connection between the Trump campaign and Russia at the same time when they'd actually found connections between the Trump campaign and Russia? They're a comically incompetent deep state, aren't they?

Papadopoulos was entrapped into telling an Australian diplomat that he knew that Russia had loads of Hillary's emails? He was entrapped into accepting a ten thousand dollar payment from an Israeli agent. It's a global conspiracy Lyle!

In a pair of Friday morning tweets, Trump said he had met with the Justice Department concerning declassification of unredacted documents from the Russia investigation.




Federal law enforcement officials were reluctant to release material from an ongoing investigation, including part of a secret court order to monitor a former Trump campaign adviser, Carter Page.

There has been no comment from either Christopher Wray, who is the director of the FBI, or Rod Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general who oversees the investigation being led by special counsel Robert Mueller into ties between Russia and the Trump campaign.
"The president continues to project a rudimentary understanding of his authority and how government bureaucracy actually works," according to Bradley Moss, an attorney specializing in national security matters and the deputy executive director of the James Madison Project. "He effectively ordered the declassification of materials and then retracted it mere days later, deferring to the inspector general to handle the tasks, something the IG never does."
