It's a good heavyweight fight, if they can get it done.
I'd pick Ortiz to take out Whyte.
It would be a ballsy move by Whyte to take this sort of risk, when the AJ rematch is within reach.

		This fights hurts me.
My two fav HWs of now.
Wont be betting on this one. I wont be hoping for a winner either.
I was hoping they would find a separate way of challenging for a belt.

		Fucking that!!
This is what every division should be like...top fighters taking risks and fighting the other top fighters.
Kudos to Dillian Whyte too, the public love him for the reasons above.
Chisora too... both throwback fighters.

Re: Dillian Whyte v Luis Ortiz - Both Agree to fight in December
I agree it's a good fight and am looking forward to it.
But it smacks as a bit hypocritical to be lauding Whyte for taking on Ortiz ahead of a possible rematch with Joshua, while Wilder was raked over the coals for fighting the same guy (who I might add was a bit "less old" at the time).

I think it's the best thing for Dillian... to stay active, it was supposed to be a Chisora fight but Hearn claims both are being difficult/bitching about money.
Either way both are tough fights that should give him alot of rounds.

Re: Dillian Whyte v Luis Ortiz - Both Agree to fight in December
There are many divisions where the best are fighting the best, unfortunately some fans focus on the likes of wwe trash talking, or outside the ring antics, or twitter fights, rather than talking about and watching really good fights.
Not sure what you're saying there Tito, most give Wilder huge credit for fighting Ortiz and consider it his best win.

Not sure about "most", Alpha. I've read all kinds of stuff from Ortiz being on Depends, to him collecting Social Security, etc, etc.
It's obvious. If you're anti-Wilder, you'll disparage every single opponent he beats. Hell.... if he knocks out Fury, it'll be that Fury was never ready in the first place, blah, blah, blah.
I myself don't disparage Ortiz, seeing as to how he's been a historically avoided opponent. Also we all know that age in the heavyweights is less of a factor than in the lower weights.
That being said, I'm seeing Fury in a different light. I hated the Fury that together with Wlad provided us with the single most pathetic spectacle in the history of heavyweight championship boxing.
But I must admit if he comes to fight and uses all his skills.... it could be an interesting night. Not saying I think he'll beat Wilder..... but it probably won't be a 1st round KO.

Re: Dillian Whyte v Luis Ortiz - Both Agree to fight in December
Tough fight to call and much better than the rematch nobody really cares about between whyte and Chisora.
ortiz is a decade or two past it but still presents a hard fight for whyte who will likely be outboxed early.
he will have to finish strong and fighting at home guarantees he will get the decision even if he doesn't deserve it. The Parker fight was hard for whyte. He did something Joshua couldn't by dropping Parker but that first knockdown was from a headbutt and Parker fought dazed for the rest of the fight until he opened up in the 12th and almost finished whyte off.
youth should be th deciding factor here. The big fights have come too late for King Kong but he'll be dangerous from start to finish
