But it smacks as a bit hypocritical to be lauding Whyte for taking on Ortiz ahead of a possible rematch with Joshua, while Wilder was raked over the coals for fighting the same guy (who I might add was a bit "less old" at the time).
Not sure what you're saying there Tito, most give Wilder huge credit for fighting Ortiz and consider it his best win.

Not sure about "most", Alpha. I've read all kinds of stuff from Ortiz being on Depends, to him collecting Social Security, etc, etc.

It's obvious. If you're anti-Wilder, you'll disparage every single opponent he beats. Hell.... if he knocks out Fury, it'll be that Fury was never ready in the first place, blah, blah, blah.

I myself don't disparage Ortiz, seeing as to how he's been a historically avoided opponent. Also we all know that age in the heavyweights is less of a factor than in the lower weights.

That being said, I'm seeing Fury in a different light. I hated the Fury that together with Wlad provided us with the single most pathetic spectacle in the history of heavyweight championship boxing.

But I must admit if he comes to fight and uses all his skills.... it could be an interesting night. Not saying I think he'll beat Wilder..... but it probably won't be a 1st round KO.
