Fury is in a difficult situation.

He probably can't win on the scorecards in Wilder's home country, and he's not a big puncher. And there will likely be a dodgy California referee like Jack Reiss helping Wilder.

If Fury can get a decision in Germany, he can get one anywhere.

There was never any controversial judging for Klitschko's fights. Can you remember any?

However, the US has become by far the #1 country for robberies and shady refereeing in recent years, with the UK solidly in the #2 spot.

    Golub vs Clark
    Kovalev vs Ward
    GGG vs Canelo
    Browne vs Kaladjdzic
    Herrera vs Danny Garcia
Loma vs Salido (obviously dodgy referee, questionable scorecards)
    Hooker vs Perez

    And a few years back:

    Pacquiao-Bradley I
    Holyfield-Lewis I
    Tiberi-Toney
Kessler-Ward (ref let Ward use illegal tactics such as headbutts to blind Kessler)
    Castillo-Mayweather I
    Sturm-De La Hoya

    and many, many more.

And American judges DO favor Wilder.

Luis Ortiz clearly won several rounds he wasn't given credit for, as did Artur Szpilka.

Proportionally Germany are worse, Ottke, Sturm and Povetkin come to mind.

Germany and the UK pale in comparison to the WBC Vegas-Mexico-Texas Mafia. But this doesn't apply to Wilder.

Fury has nothing to fear from the LA judges.

People just don't like Germany because of WW 2.

Povetkin's only controversial win was over a German boxer in Germany. Klitschko's illegal tactics against him should have been penalized, but the fight was in Moscow (go figure).

Sturm has won some questionable decisions, but only one was as bad as when he was robbed against De La Hoya.

If you actually watch Ottke's fights, the only one that was really dodgy was against Reid.

Wlad should have been DQ’d for that povetkin fight

I've been called Klitschko's biggest fan on the internet, I was once even invited to his training camp to meet him and his team by his training camp manager.

But it's true - in that fight, Wlad should have been disqualified for his use of Andre Ward tactics.
