Whilst the first fight between Holyfield v Bowe was the best and peak from both fighters this was more dramatic. Holyfield seemed more juiced up and had greater power than ever before. Wished he was able to finish Bowe off but ended up being stopped for the only time in his career.

I was screaming and pleading for Holyfield to finish Bowe off. He was shattered and could barely lift his arms. Yes, watched that live on sky sports at the time.Nope clean as a whistle

Tyson nearly did it with his first punch when Holyfield was expecting a left hook and got smashed with a right hand. If only it did.Holyfield TKO 11 Tyson. Need to find vid. I think the rematch was better version of Holyfeild because he fought a smarter fight. Holyfeild rushing in won him a lot but he was a great boxer and could be very defensive when he needed to be.

The second fight gets forgotten and remembered more for "fan man". I think the interval as they "sorted out" fan man allowed Holyfield to have a breather and change his strategy in the fight and get that decision. I think people were telling Holyfield that he was behind during the rest.I think the rematch was better version of Holyfeild because he fought a smarter fight. Bowe was definitely not adverse to fouling a guy. I think that was the thing with Tyson gnawing on his ear too. It wasn't so much Mike 'snapping' as it was being completely out of ideas and panicking a bit. You could see immediately after, he tapped his gloves together and looked at Holyfield like 'yes please please rush in wide open into this right'. True, Bowe was getting outboxed early by Evander in their first fight. Although Bowe's jab was giving Holyfield a lot of trouble. The fouling worked and Holyfield went crazy and fought dumb.Bowe was definitely not adverse to fouling a guy. I think that was the thing with Tyson gnawing on his ear too. Second fight Holyfield had Manny in his corner and had the rhythm to outbox Bowe.
