He was no doubt a good family man who nearly gave all for his Country. I remember the divide when we decided to go into the 1st Gulf war but I think being a combat veteran gave him guidance and awareness that we were still a Nation less than 20 yrs removed from Vietnam. Bush is the last President to have served. It may get overshadowed that our messaging to Hussein only a week earlier was basically 'we have no opinion on the matter, hope you guys work it out'. Still the execution and Statesman coalition gathered was supreme but played a part in not 'finishing'. Rest easy Sir.
