Bad boy of snooker with his pony tail and shouting 'come on!' at the end of frames. It used to appall my granddad which made it fun for me.
As his hair receded he became less rock n roll and more pipe and slippers.

Next you will say Steve Davis was interesting.

Even when he become the most boring thing you could watch on TV it used to amuse me how much it would wind everyone up, especially Ronnie.
If you said you enjoyed Higgins, White or Sullivan I would understand but you have to have a quirky taste to like Ebdon.
    Yeah I'm pretty weird mate.

Even weirder when I was a ten year boy with Ebdon as a sporting hero.
I was a Cliff Thorban fan after he got that 147

Got rid of sky sports about 4 years ago now on the back of me starting to hate the professional footballers of today who didn’t seem to try for our country.

I now watch about 2 premier league games a year and don’t miss it at all. . Not seen even one champions league game since it went off itv.

I guess I just watch darts now for the big tournaments and snooker whilst o Sullivan is still in the tournament. Not really a fan of any of any other player.

    I used to wa5ch everything....sigh.....

I don't watch the Premiershite either. When I can afford to I will go and watch Plymouth a few times a year, (away is always fun even now as an old twat) and in the football league the real beating heart of football is still there, even when the quality can be all over the place. Never stopped watching England either but under Southgate no longer have to do so thru gritted teeth as a bunch of Divas play like they are entitled to be given decisions on a plate. Can't replace that rush when your home team or England score against the odds and run of play, and you and your mates are pissed up and all in it together. 30+ years of it and it's longer than a lot of marriages, and more ecstatic and devotional than many religions.
