so beating a 39 year old evander on points and a 38 year old tyson just after tyson came out of jail was fat and lewis said we either fight now or never...................what a great warrrior this lewis was, only fighjting tyson once he's way past his best and out of shape having his first fight in 2 years yeah lewis is a real gladiater my god what a fighter plus he demanded to much to fight bowe when bowe was world champ that shows great confidence on top of it all he was jealous of frank bruno's popularity, unlike lewis bruno had the guts to take a fight against tyson when iron mike was the baddest man on the planet and frank did his best and when he lost he didn't make excuses he said i did my best and it wasn't enough i'm sorry i let british boxing fans down. lennox never fought the top guys unless they were only half the men they once were and even then he couldn't do the job right, when he got beat every excuse in the book was used, thats why in england bruno is held much higher and loved by all with lewis way behide him because frank didn't go around calling people uncle toms and talking trash trying to be little others efforts, even today when bruno makes a personal appearece peoiple stand and cheer, how many does lewis make. so i'm not suprised about lewis's coments about evander........its what lewis does best.......be little others

in there first fight i thought holy was 37 anyways he beat ray mercer gary mason who was 35-0 he beat tommy morrison andrew golota who was fresh of battering bowe holyfield was still decent fighter he also beat razor ruddock who was fresh off giving tyson two very hard fights lewis has beaten alot of good fighters so i dont know what ur on about mate to name few more david tua who almost beat ike who was excellent fighter he beat vitali aswell shannon briggs and frank bruno

sorry dude i gotta pull u up there mate....firstly mercer and golota were mediocre at best,morrison was the glass jawed great white hype,david tua was a clone of an old mike tyson very one dimentional,shannon briggs was crap,why do u think big george hand picked him ,frank was past his prime and so was holy and tyson ,so the only good fighter he fought was vitali and the big russian knocked lewis sensless......ruddick was just ok..when he fought tyson ,mike had transformed into a conventional fighter,he was pretty easy to hit,he showed non of the head movement he was famous for with rooney,wich made ruddick look credible but he was just ur typical tall HW with lazy offence and no defence!!!!........just my opinion bro!

no problem mate ur allowed ur opinion mercer was good and had iron chin golota was good aswell remember him battering bowe in them 2 fights yep i agree about morrison he had some skills but a weak chin briggs is ok tyson did move hes head in 1st fight ruddock was good i think with excellent power tua is good fighter in my book aswell excellent chin and good workrate like what he showed against ike but thats my opinion anyway mate

yes and didnt holyfield have trouble with an old larry holmes didnt holmes win like 5 rounds against him and ur point is ?? that doesnt mean holyfield was bad either because he struggled against an older guy he also struggled against an old foreman but that doesnt make holyfield bad fighter does it mercer is still good regardless if he lost to an old holmes

but peole say including urself ice that tyson was not great cause he had trouble with holmes and holmes was very ancient when he fought holyfeild and holy couldnt put him away let alone hurt him......tyson flogged him!!!

im not making excuses but i did hear holmes wasnt feeling too good plus he hadnt fought for like 2+ years and he only had like 2 weeks to train and he was still giving tyson good fight up and till he got caught nope im not one of those people who say that i have just never thought tyson was great as people say but thats my opinion mate

fair enough just read heaps of posts that say tyson was having trouble with old larry holmes for 4 rds,but holy had a lot more trouble with an even older holmes and couldnt ko him.............................and with tyson holmes,the only reason people say tyson had trouble with him was because he didnt ko him in 1 round like expected..........but if u have seen the fight ,tyson chased him all over the ring,the only thing larry landed was a couple of jabs!!!!
