All help should be welcome. Lammy's worried about stereotyping, when he should actually be worried about how aid money is handled in Africa. There's also bigger fish to fry in terms of money coming into Africa. It stands to reason that most of what African nations need is in terms of infrastructure upgrades, the backbone of any developing country. Right now most of this money is coming from China in the form of loans. Suspicious minds in the U.S. see this as some sort of threat to U.S. national security, and probably China wouldn't be investing so heavily in Africa without some sort of ulterior motive. If the U.S. government sees this as some sort of threat, maybe they should offer some sort of help also. But back to the Lammy/Dooley sideshow. People will interpret Dooley's involvement however they want to interpret it. I don't think a few pictures and videos of Dooley holding an African child will change anyone's mind about anything they're not already thinking.
