James Bulger's mum Denise Fergus calls the 'Leaving Neverland' accusers liars

James Bulger’s mum Denise Fergus has expressed her anger at the horrific sex abuse allegations made against Michael Jackson in the Channel 4 Leaving Neverland documentary.

She called the two accusers, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, liars. They both claim that they’d been groomed, molested and sexually assaulted by Jackson as children, in the 1990s.

Fergus expressed her views on Twitter after the first part of the documentary aired. She wrote: “Just watched Michael Jackson leaving Neverland can honestly say don’t believe a single word, just look at the reactions of their faces, tells a different story to what they are accusing him of, so hope people don’t believe this crap.”

She has previously revealed how her murdered two-year-old son loved dancing to Michael Jackson videos as a toddler. Their family played Jackson’s ‘Heal The World’ at James’ funeral – and Michael donated the song to the James Bulger House campaign so they could release a charity single to raise funds.

Jackson had even sent flowers and a card with a self-penned poem to Fergus and her then-husband Ralph Bulger after James’ murder, saying it had affected him deeply.

“He sent a personal message to me with a large basket of flowers,” Fergus told the Liverpool Echo in 2009.

“There was a brown envelope and inside was a letter on A4 paper from Michael. He wrote a poem for James and he named it Child Of Innocence. It touched my heart.”

Before his death in 2009, Jackson had made controversial claims about how James’ 10-year-old killers, Robert Thompson and Jon Venables, just needed to be loved.

In a recorded interview with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, Jackson revealed he and his first wife Lisa Marie Presley had arguments about the boys’ prison sentences, and said he wanted to visit them in jail.
