Default collazo to hand hatton his lunch

collazo is hungry and appears to be a very motivated and vicious fighter--he wont back down from ricky's pressure and i think hes stronger than ricky--i predict a late tko for collazo--u heard it here first......and hopefully thats the last time we'll have to hear about ricky hatton on this board

Collazo's pedigree does not warrant your optimism, but this is boxing and you never know....

    Hatton WU12

Just cannot see someone who's biggest win is against an ancient Miguel Angel Gonzales beating Hatton at the moment.

Are you seriously trying to say that Ricky Hatton doesnt have heart? He isnt hungry? Did you not see the Tsuyu fight? It is Ricky's heart and hunger that translate into his unbelievable workrate that simplys wears down opponents, even those as great as Tsuyu (who was one of the greatest champions we've seen). I see Ricky knocking Collazo out around the 8th or the 9th. Oh, and if you want to say Ricky's acheived his chamionship dream so will be less hungry - I think chasing down PBF and further from that going down as a legend if he gets it right will be more than enough hunger to consumer Collazo and better.

Lawhoops we will have a little wager, if Callazo wins i'll give you 50 cc's yes if hatton win's you give me 10 cc's??

5/1 not bad odds as you see him KO ing Ricky, and trust me my friend it will defintly not be the last we hear of Ricky Hatton after he tears him a new one around round 8.

Collazo is hungey maybe so, but his level of opponent is ntoing to shout about is it?? he beat two old vet's if you can call that world class?? One of which was KO'D by Kosta Tzysu around 8 years ago, prior to these two fights his opponent was sum bum called Richard Heath Who i hear you shout?? The and only Richard Heath who Collazo only fought one year ago who had a outstanding record of 2-6!!! First fight novices have better tests than that!!! Collazo will not no what has hit him when he feels Hatton pounding him for 6-8 rounds, how can you say he is going to KO Ricky Hatton, you are pathetic Collazo is not ready for Hatton and i doubt he ever would be.

Hatton's team have been very clever with this fight they are moving uo in weight where all the action seems to happening, Gatti-Baldomir Mayweather-Judah, and at the same time fighting for a World Championship against a guy who is not World Class material and you will find that out LawHoops when your man is sent to the canvas in the 8th.

Hatton's team better make sure they know what they're doing by moving to 147 because I truly believe that Hatton's gonna get pushed around, I don't even think Hatton could beat Gatti.

BTW, someone said it last week on the board, give it a year or 2008, I think Joel Julio has a good chance at cleaning out the division. January of 2008: Julio vs Cotto for the undisputed welterweight championship of the world. Man, I wish I could see that fight right now.

How many times have you seen Collazo fight, LawHoops?

I mean, is this an informed opinion, or do you just despise Hatton?

I'm not Lawhoops, but I've seen Collazo fight twice. He's the type of fighter where your not overly impressed with his technique, but IMO his motor is always on and he's gonna be willing to trade with Hatton. I really do think that a lot of Hatton's style is based on wrestling guys and hitting on the inside. He's gonna have to eventually use his defense @ 147, because Hatton isn't big enough to pressure someone all night. Hatton's defense is not the greatest but his heart and determination will push him in this fight. I see a Hatton KO 10 or 11. The only way Collazo's winning this thing is on cuts, which could easily happen as well.

I've only seen him once, versus a very old Gonzalez, so that's not much to go on. Nothing about him jumped out at me though, but it was only one fight. I heard he had a tough fight with a Rivera, who's very mediocre.

I think Hatton will still be strong at 147, how many really big, strong welterweights are there? Margarito, Mosley if he comes back down, Clottey even though I don't think he's elite. Hatton was bigger and stronger at 140 than both Judah and PBF so I don't see any reason why that would change at 147. But I don't think his strength would be quite enough against PBF at either weight, but I still think he'll be a strong welter, especially compared to some of the other guys
