Wtf. Is that the good old days of southern democrats fighting integration or a different old days that better suits you

They did used to fight integration and were responsible for Jim Crow and all the rest of it. The entire south used to reliably vote Democrat in every election. The southern states are a sea of unbroken blue on every election map of the fifties and sixties. But then the Democrats signed the Civil Rights bill and told all their politicians to get on board or get out of the party. The GOP saw a huge opening here and became the party of white racism and now the south votes reliably red in every election.

Oh I seem to recall that. I guess you don’t know the details cause LBJ pulled a fast one to get that one signed in the south. You may not be aware but LBJ said if we pass this bill we will have the blacks voting for us for the 100 years. Although he didn’t use the word blacks.
