I really liked it, blitzed it after the first episode (which was clearly inspired by the WM3 case). After the abomination of a 2nd season this is much closer to the 1st (although nothing will ever get close to that masterpiece) and even loosely linked (that's not a spoiler).

It looks and feels like the original in places, excellent actors (not seen Stephen Dorff in years), murder of kids, twists. I was a little put off though by the dementia storyline, it was like watching my dad ().

I just finished it, also thought it was great. Yes not as good as the first but that couldnt be expected, it had plenty of moments that gripped me the same way though, and for overall feel it was a win. Thought the memory loss and different time frames was very effective. Hard to believe the 2nd season was even given the OK, maybe it was just rushed.

Not as good as the first series but absolutely brilliant all the same. I'm fine if the fourth series is a similar knockoff of the first series if it's this good. Definitely worth watching. I was saving the second series to binge at some point and read the reviews and didn't bother.

In other news the fourth series of Gomorra has just started on Italian telly. It's about the Neapolitan mafia. It's an absolutely brilliant show and is a massive worldwide hit, they show the first episodes at the cinemas in Italy and it's broken box office records. If it's not on a streaming thing you can find it on a torrent site. There are high quality subtitled versions out there. I like watching stuff in the highest quality resolution possible. It definitely adds to the show. Anyway, Gomorra is highly recommended. The characters' taste in interior decor is absolutely spectacular. There's a film too based on the book which is OK.
