That should be banned, far too brutal.

Its less brutal than gloved fights and MMA statistically.
MMA fighters are getting hit with elbows and knees as well as fists.
Bare knuckle fights are usually only 3-6 rounds and their hands get fucked fast so throw throw less punches.
Gloved boxing produces more brain damage because fights are much longer and they take loads more punches.

Artem Lobov vs Paulie Malignaggi: Conor McGregor team-mate shows off injuries from bare-knuckle brawl, sets up June 22 clash

The rivals will square off this summer

Artem Lobov defeated Jason Knight in a vicious, bare-knuckle boxing bout on Saturday night in Mississippi.

Following the decision win, it was announced he’ll now face bitter foe Paulie Malignaggi on June 22, though the venue is yet to be confirmed.

Lobov’s war with Knight was his debut with the BKFC (Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship) after signing for the company earlier this year.

Malignaggi recently announced he had agreed a similar deal and so will make his own debut against Lobov in the summer.

The pair clashed at a media event last week as the Italian-American slapped his Russian rival when they came face to face.

Their feud stems back to Paulie’s previous clashes with Conor McGregor, who is Artem’s friend and team-mate.

Following Lobov’s bare-knuckle win over Jason Knight, he posted a brutal picture of the facial injuries he sustained.

McGregor replied: “What an animal, proud of you, amazing fight. Paulie’s nice and quiet all of a sudden and that’s not like him haha.”

Its true about less brain trauma, have to figure the chance of serious eye injuries are a fair bit higher though. I cant see it gaining steam to the point where its a viable option for guys who are relevant in either mma or boxing deciding to partake though. So far its been almost entirely washed up or low tier UFC guys to do it. If Paulie does go ahead with this its because he thinks these guys are awful, we know he is a shot fighter, he never had any power and has bad hands. Would be lying if I said I wont watch, but I think its a dumb move.

Just my opinion, but it sickens me to be honest! It’s more acceptable than MMA though.

Ugh, that's too brutal for me... Probably better/not as bad as normal boxing but this just seems like a great way to totally bugger up your facial bones, skin, teeth and hands :S looked up some of the fights on YouTube, the quality is pretty low(bec rawlings is women's champ :S), seems to be the selling point is the blood...... Well whatever if that's what people like.

I'd watch Malignaggi v the lobov fellow, wouldn't pay for it though, it'd be interesting to see how a former good boxer would do.
