Utterly ordinary , if thats the best womens boxing has to offer then it is garbage.
Couldn't break and egg springs to mind.
We have a 24 year old who has unified one division, become undisputed in another, says she is willing to go down a division to meet the perceived best and people will excuse the perceived best for ducking. And after they excuse the ducking they will not acknowledge why they excuse the ducking. 100 years and things haven’t changed. Boxing fandom
As always my stance is the best should fight the best.

Only caught the first 3 rounds but fair play and good job by Shields. Sounds like Hammer wasn't much for the inside and had no plan b. I have to say that women's boxing has always seemed to go from fight to fight with unknown-little depth below a few names. Not slagging on it but I just have a hard time fully acknowledging it as some are doing this morning along the same lines as 'Crawford, Hopkins, Usyk' and it doesn't help to have post promotion trying to lump it in with Ali-Frazier or compare Shields to Jordan or Ray Robinson. Now maybe some of that is unfair but it's not like the depth and continuity of women's boxing is always there. In any event Shields should be proud of what she's accomplished and enjoy the wave of fame.
