Great topic. I'm still trying to figure out how Virgil Hill turned brutal starter and annihilated Tiozzo in first round of their rematch. Maybe only his 3rd ko in about 8 years . Ivan Robinson wasn't a major hitter but went to war with Gatti in a true classic but that was probably his inner Philly coming out . I remember the relatively green pro Sergio Reyes bringing his 3 kos in with a near prime Orlando Canizales and more than holding his own (had him winning) over 12 up close buzz saw rounds.

Rockin Rodney Moore was a light puncher then he went on a mad KO run as a contender.

Was going through some old score sheets and reminded of Paul Vaden turning it on late and koing Vincent Pettway. Pettway before and after was always thought to be almost to nice and 'clean' for the sport and a very capable boxer off the jab. He pretty much came from obscurity to grab Pettways title and proved brutal throwing combinations in the championship rounds. Pettway came in that night fresh off one of the more devastating KO's you'll ever see when he left Simon Brown flat on his back still throwing punches in the air . Vaden went back into conservative safety boxer mode losing his next fight out v Terry Norris but became very successful post boxing always wearing a big smile.
