We did Easter when young, but it was never religious. It was all about environmental destruction and rotting one's teeth. Easter is pretty bad for the environment with all those silly chocolate eggs wrapped in multiple layers of plastic and various forms of packaging. Out here nobody really bothers and that is better. If you want some chocolate you can always buy some chocolate without layers of plastic and if you want to celebrate as a religious thing you can just go to Church which some of course do too. I don't notice Easter or Christmas anymore and I don't mind. In fact I think it makes more sense. Nobody has a clue when Jesus was born or when he died and an egg is just a weird, weird thing anyway, especially a chocolate one.
