All of these boxers are just making boxing look bad. Washed up fighters are doing other things and lose and then everyone thinks boxing is a joke. The problem is that boxers get paid so much more than these other combat sports that a prime boxer would never risk their reputation just to get paid less than what they already make.

So someone like Crawford would never go fight in the UFC because they couldn’t pay him nearly what ESPN is paying him to just box. So until UFC can start paying mega money or boxing really drops off with how much they pay their fighters, we will never see a prime boxer do MMA or bare knuckle boxing.
