Seems to me "Made in the USA" should become more than a patriotic slogan and more of an urgent goal to head off all sorts of potential national security issues in the future.
doing it inhouse doesn't eliminate all risk of tampering but it sure makes it easier to oversee rather than in another country. china and russia are buddy buddy with israel at the helm, this shit is serious. you will always be wondering if your missile is going to work or if your plane is going to fall out of the sky, everything is compromised
