Interestingly, neither the WBC nor the WBA or WBO address facial hair in their rules and regulations. Maybe in light of this new controversy they should.

Commission's dictate rules not alphabets (New York have different rules to California and Britain etc). Muslim Danny Williams always had to trim his beard in the UK but under certain US commissions could roll up all grizzly adams.

I stand corrected, although the alphabet orgs do have their own set of rules.

However, looked at the NYSAC and NSAC and found nothing on facial hair requirements on either site.

They should definitely be kept in check and required to be on the shorter side. Not sure it should or could get to the point of commission enforcement they as they have a hard enough time appointing competent officials. Broners and that Irish fella who fought Tevin Farmer are on the ridiculous side. They don't have nearly the affect on a fight, potential cuts etc, as do some braided hairstyles and both need attention.
