But, we all know that's not going to happen and it has all the makings of a very brutal ending.
I feel the same about Donaire. I wasn’t a fan of his at all during his prime and was happy when Rigo beat him. I actually root for him now at the end of his career
Yeh I was same and started coming around after the second ko of Vic the Crab . But Donaire was getting his ears boxed early a bit there also.

What I don’t understand is there’s a lot of talk about the other WBSS final being off due to financial issues, but nothing with this final. All a bit odd.

No idea how the wbss format works financially or what guarantees the fighters have, but must be that as a standalone fight; Inoue vs Donaire is massive and a sure thing big sell, in Japan especially. With Prograis vs Taylor, the guys might not be getting what they feel they deserve for a big fight, and it could do underwhelming numbers.

It’s great for Inoue that he gets a nice contract with ESPN, but I’m just not sure if I like where his career will go with it. I don’t want to see him move up yet. He moved up already for this tournament. He needs to fight Nery and probably even Ooubali. He doesn’t need to move up

Agreed. Inoue-Nery is a fight everyone wants to see. If ESPN f*cks it up it's another lost opportunity for a great fight.

doesn't seem to be any issues with the briedis vs dorticos final either that seems headed to latvia. wbss has saved the day before, sending good vibes for them to get it done again

It's DAZN in the USA/Canada and nothing in the UK so far (sure Kalle said it was Sky the other week) - however, the big one this week is MFI-Logans Run on SKY Box Office, so understandable why this got the Spanish.

I feel a little sorry for Inoue here, unlike Taylor and Prograis, where we got the 2 best fighting in the final through elimination, both Barnett (taking nothing away from Donaire) and Tete suffered injuries. It's good in a way, because there is still more work for him to achieve at the weight after he final. The Nery fight is the obvious choice.

The thing is that Inoue fought good fighters the first two fights. It’s just an anti climatic ending. But I agree that that doesn’t mean he can’t fight fighters like Nery or Tete after the tournament is over.

Yeah nothing in the UK (Sky Sports) which is annoying, they could have shown this as a freebie really.
I've got DAZN but only through my fire stick so will probably miss it as at work.
If I find some live DAZN links I'll post them up here 😎
