I agree with the message. But the last question “why didn’t Garcia fight Loma?” Bob never was going to let the fight happen. They called and called, Bob wouldn’t accept or return their calls. They emailed, Bob wouldn’t return their emails. The press asked Bob said “you can’t negotiate with Mikey” so Mikey “how would he know, he’s never negotiated with me, return my calls” no return of calls. Media asks again and again finally Bob “we’ll make him an offer but we won’t negotiate with him” first, that isn’t how you make a fight but more importantly it was a f’n lie, they never made an offer and they still refused to take Mikey’s calls or return them. Mikey even tried negotiating with Bobs stepson since Bob wouldn’t negotiate and he was told straight up that Bob would NEVER make that fight.
What’s worse about the question “why didn’t Garcia...?” is everything I’ve just said is easy to find. It’s easy to find secondary sources corroborating. But Mikey is the one that gets blamed. That same elephant rears it’s head again and a blind eye is turned again.

Is it possible for Loma to jump into the 147 division after his next fight?
Still come in around 144< but the skills make the weight difference irrelevant?
Is this a possibility?

Henry Armstrong was world champ at 3 original weight divisions simultaneously. In today’s parlance that is 12 ‘world belts’. It’s nit unreasonable to suppose he could have won titles in the new divisions that now exist in between those original weight divisions.
He was also robbed against Garcia for the undisputed middleweight title.
Excuse my simplistic maths, which proves nothing of course, but that is 28 ‘world’ title belts in today’s money.
A true all time great.

It’s the biggest money grab/won’t be blamed for the loss bs. A great big man beats a great little man almost every time. Spence/ Garcia, brook/ggg, canelo/khan, all were talented smaller fighters in their primes whom lost to talented bigger fighters in their prime.
Manny beat Oscar because he was weight drained/old. Floyd beat him because he was washed up. And both of them are generational fighters on top of that.
Rigo vs loma is another perfect example. Two of arguably the most talented fighters to lace up boxing gloves, and the weight jump made it not even competitive.

Kovalev is borderline washed up though. So Canelo has a great shot of winning.
