Come on, Syd and Omar might looked well against Lacy but in Syd's next fight he was shot dead by Berrio and retired - Omar went to fight Beyer and got a boxing lesson at the level Lacy got against Calzaghe. Giving Lacy a heck of a time does not mean that you are world class. Ross Thompson did remember.Originally Posted by Hulk
I know you do not like to hear it or understand it, but in SMW there is a big gap between top US/American fighters and top EU fighters. Berrio brutally stopped both Syd Vanderpool and another hyped US prospect Yusaf Mack, but was out boxed and stopped by Robert Stieglitz.
Omar almost beat Lacy but got a bad boxing lesson by Beyer…..
Good move for Lacy fighting a semi-top EU fighter so he knows exactly where he stands after the Calzaghe fight. He could easily had chosen to fight another US SMW and then looked strong and then again fail when he faces top EU SMWs.
Kessler is travelling around the world to get new inspiration to his training – I think it would be good for Lacy too to take a month or two in Europe to try go get new finesse to his boxing.
