Eddie Hearn blasted by rival promoter over criticism of Tyson Fury vs Otto Wallin
Frank Warren has fired back at promotional rival Eddie Hearn over his criticism of Tyson Fury vs Otto Wallin.
Anthony Joshua’s promoter declared earlier this week that nobody is interested in Fury because he’s taking easy fights and even claimed there are low ticket sales for the event.
In response, Warren told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast: “Well, you know, he’s always got something to say about somebody, hasn’t he? He doesn’t stop.
“He’s got enough on his own plate at the moment, he’s trying to resurrect his man who got badly exposed and he’s off to Saudi to do it.
“Always a pound note speaks for him and that’s where he’s going.
“He’s gotta keep everything crossed, he’s probably looking like Ben Turpin at the moment because he needs his man to win.
“If he gets beat again next time Joshua, then it’s all over.”

Warren has previously stated that he is confident Andy Ruiz Jr will repeat his shock victory over AJ when they meet in their December 7 rematch.
When asked if he stands by his comments, the promoter continued: “I do think that’s the case. He’s not taking the fight at five weeks’ notice.
“I don’t think he’s gonna look much different physically, but mentally to have had that win and mentally to have done it after only having five weeks’ notice, he’s gonna be in a better place.
“He’s taken AJ’s best shot, got off the floor, took the fight to him and obviously done him in every department.
“Out-gamed him, outfought him and then eventually stopped him.
“That is a big plus, you’re going into that fight knowing you have the armoury, the power, the handspeed to beat him.
“Joshua’s up against it. And that’s why I don’t understand why they’re in Saudi.
“If that’d been me I would have had the fight on in the UK so that everybody got behind Joshua, everything was in his favour, the crowd were behind him, the other guy was in hostile territory.
“And outside the ring you’re doing all you can to get all the plusses for the fighter, but they’ve grabbed the money and gone to Saudi instead.”
