It wasn't Germany it was Monte Carlo (a live broadcast for HBO in America and Sky). The very reason Chisora is a much bigger name than the two lightwelters, he's fought everyone everywhere on massive bills, whether he's part of the main event or undercard, and still pulls off highlight reel upsets and "pub brawls" which is precisely what draws punters.
Look at their social media following?
Chisora - 235,000 twitter followers.
Parker - 100,000
Taylor - 70,000
Prograis - 10,000
335k vs 80k?
And you wonder why the PAYING PUBLIC are more interested in the "bum" heavyweights?

Nobody said it was Germany. Nobody said Chisora didn’t have more twitter followers, nobody said the PAYING PUBLIC are not interested in the “bum” heavyweights.
But not interested enough to make the Chisora v Parker fight a viable ppv without Prograis v Taylor on the card it seems.
I couldn’t give a rats ass about which fight tops the bill. All I’m saying is Chisora is not a ppv Fighter and when he went on his rant, he shouldn’t have been so disrespectful to fighters that are better Boxers than him and have achieved more than him.
If you want to get taken in by this popularity hype that Matchroom and Sky have hoodwinked you with, crack on.

I'm just providing some facts mate. Chisora never said he was PPV. I'm not saying he's a PPV either.
You're not just arguing Chisora doesn't "deserve" to be popular (which is fair enough) but also that he's not. All i'm saying is, compared to fighters like Taylor/Prograis he is more popular. It's a fact. It is what it is.
You make the exact same argument about every fighter you dislike - Bellew, Khan, etc.![]()

Bingo! You’re right I make the same argument about all of them . Because I dislike them all for EXACTLY the same reason! Bellew, Khan, Chisora, ALL got fights and paydays they never deserved. Good luck to them, they have made complete mugs out of all their followers and got paid handsomely in the process.
I have to say that i mellowed towards Bellew as he pushed his boundaries a little. He won fights I never expected him to win (Haye for example) , but if I start throwing loads of excuses as to why he won , I’m gonna look really obsessed .
Surely I’m not the only one that some of these fights leaves a nasty taste in the mouth with am I ?
Ps. I used to like Haye, but he turned into a disgraceful conman.

Fury's fanbase is British. Don't you think it would have sold in Manchester? Or London? It was PPV in this country. American's don't buy tickets for their own fighters let alone foreigners.
Recent example - Loma-Crolla sold less than 1000 tickets in the States. Loma-Campbell sells 20,000 in London. Different worlds.

Ultimately the fight is where it makes the most money. Doesn’t matter whether it sells in Manchester or London or Timbuktu.
You made the point that Chisora was a bigger name because of his twitter following. Fury has 1.2 Million, surely some would go to Vegas , no? They did for Hatton.
