Andy ruiz did indeed post that to his Instagram page, has the correct tattoo on his right arm too. It's a good pose to make him look slimmer though and their could of course be some NASA style altering on the photos!

I wouldn't trust any photo in this day and age. We can age, we can subtract years, alter physicality, all sorts. I saw an interview a few weeks ago and it is the same old Ruiz. He is deceptive as he is chunky and his feet are not great, but when in range his handspeed is awesome. I am supporting him. I don't like the location though.

His hand-speed will shine again this time. AJ has heart not really into it anymore. He's dating and young man only thinks with 1 of 2 heads, draining out his energy for the training. He can not stay away from that young girl and will look gaunt and drained out at the opening bell. The Mexican guy will do it faster this time he, is working on even more faster hand-speed. AJ will be over-trying to make up for the last embarassment, and firing over his head. Then Ruiz will Short hook him. Johsha will retire and make movies in Italy with Marvellous.

British tabloids will go all “nationalistic”, do not know what “national enquirer” truly means.
They will bring up any story to sell this fight from AJ not being “right” to Ruiz being “lucky” either way they will fervently support our AJ.

Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

It's hardly a tabloid or in the least but National Enquirer like. It is the exact same story carried on sites from both sides of the pond. 'Media Vultures' ? They're all British.
What's next.... a 3-hing posteaded baby born from an Earthling woman impregnated aboard a UFO?"
What a lame excuse for an opening post. He doesn't look anorexic at all and losing a stone in the time frame is not exactly earth shattering. Talk about look for a reason to have your nonsense prejudices confirmed and your outrage topped up.

FFS, get a hold of yourself man. Quit proving everyone right on here who says/knows you go off like a firecracker with or without provocation. Stop taking everything so seriously.
Shit, you're like a windup toy..... and everyone knows where the winder is.

Geez... lighten up and take a Valium or something. Since when have I expressed any "nonsense prejudices" toward you or anything you stand for? Quit being such a f*cking baby, for crying out loud.
"Outrage"?? It's a simple post about the media trying to exaggerate any weight loss Ruiz might have undergone in order to grab sensationalist headlines.
You've already shown to the forum how utterly sensitive and "itchy trigger finger" you are on every subject imaginable.
Try however, to keep your outrage (how's that for reflecting, sport) on the non-boxing boards.

I thought about the pose too. Clever bit of photography there...
Still... you look at the "before and after" pictures and it just looks like blatant headline grabbing to me.
I wouldn't be surprised to find Ruiz as shocked as anyone to see/read about his "new slender self."

The same photographs have made it into papers all over the world as far away as New Zealand. The main photograph looks like a slimmed down Ruiz to me, nothing fake looking about it. He's obviously taking the rematch seriously, he's managed to get a neutral venue and he won the first fight clearly, no lucky punch that did it. Joshua no matter what he thinks or believes will never be the same mentally again. You've got to make Ruiz the favourite for the rematch.
Array
Fat Andy won the first fight convincingly. Slimming down considerably is just adding an X factor into the rematch that IMO needn't be there.
Array
If he's in better condition it's not going to hurt. He'll have somebody who knows what they're doing cooking his meals, a strength and conditioning coach, an armed guard on the fridge. A proper training camp compared to last time. The knowledge he already beat Joshua convincingly and can take a big punch from him. A neutral venue. A mentally damaged Joshua who may well be happy to lose and retire with a gigantic Saudi payday in his pocket. I can't remember a rematch for an upset where so much was in favour of the upsetter.
Array
Might be trying to counter all the 'he has yet to hit camp' rah rah that we saw recently but he'll always be a chunk and has proven he can make it work. Joshua would be making a mistake to focus on it one way or another and needs to worry more about his own footwork and mobility. You can go all out under a week and drain to what he looks like there in water weight alone as it's mainly the face. His extra rolls and breakdancing boobs were secondary to his already top hand speed, timing and a pretty good engine. Drop his arms and have a few cervezas with a massive dinner and he's the big ol chubber who knocked the stuffing out of Joshua. Agree with Miles the location blows.

Buster has dipped a smidgen below 250lb once or twice in his entire career (not all scales/stages/weigh-ins give the same reading). He's already said he'll comfortably meet his optimum of 250-265.
Bear in mind he was never a big puncher before AJ. Why? Cause Buster could make light-heavyweight let alone cruiser.
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.

Still... if Ruiz goes overboard in this slimming down business he's risking changing some things considerably for their rematch. It was the sheer volume and power of punches from tubby Ruiz the first time out that knocked out Joshua. Showing up for the rematch like the winner of a Jenny Craig weight loss competition isn't going to do him any favors. His condition in the first fight was good enough to take care of Joshua. Overdoing the weight loss could impair the effect his punches have on Joshua. Slimming down some is ok, but from some accounts, it seems he may be overdoing it. It's an additional X factor you just don't want to incorporate. Again... if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
