I don't think that Byrd will get knocked out like many readers here, but I would be very shocked if Wladdy didn't win by an easy unanimous decision. Wladdy is vulnerable to big punchers with an iron chin and good stamina, but that doesn't sound much like Chris Byrd, does it? It's just a bad style matchup for Byrd. Wladdy loves to fight with the "sniper in the tower" style, using his height and long reach to pole-ax his opponents from a safe distance. In order to beat Wladdy you have to test his courage, his chin and his endurance, something that only 3 men have been able to successfully do. Sam Peter might have done it too if it wasn't for Emanuel Steward teaching Wladdy to clinch repeatedly every time Peter got within reasonable striking range. I hate that style but if a referee doesn't warn a "sniper in the tower" fighter like Wladdy (or others such as Henry Akinwande, Jermain Taylor or to a much lesser extent, Lennox Lewis and Vitaly Klitschko) not to hold, he will do it on the inside and easily outpunch his opponents from the outside. I've seen it hundreds of times in the last 35 years or so since I've been a boxing fan.
