I honestly can't watch another 15 minutes of this. But if Piers gets fired over this, the whole TV station should just implode. It would be useless.

He won't lose his job. He has built up support since his anti wokeness has hit the mainstream. I didn't like him before on CNN but he is somewhat fine these days. Seems to speak common sense in the face of brainwashed loonies who have built up debt in order to study utter nonsense. It is one reason councils are so terrible. Too many sociologists who cannot find employment in the real world. No way am I ever going to pay 30 pounds a week in council tax.

A bit of a side track, but who on earth thought council tax was a good idea? 1600 pounds a year for living in a house unless you are a scrounger. It is quite a bit of money considering the state of British roads and services.

Apparently it was about 500 pounds 20 years ago and has somehow tripled in that time (wages haven't) and if you do not pay they criminalize you. Just horrible really. I pay a local tax of about 6 pounds twice a year. My complex has a maintenance fee but very cheap and is used to clean buildings or to clear the snow or redo the playground. I would never pay 30 pounds a week for things I have no say in.

Council tax is a regressive and unfair tax much akin to VAT too which is double what I pay also. Where is all that money going? Well, I have a good idea, but councils are kind of gross.

It wasn't so long ago we did not pay tax and it was only brought in as a temporary measure. Now look at it.

You must live in a very swanky house then. I was reading that in the US it would typically be 300$ a month on a 200,000 dollar property. Either way, still a rip off. It also depends on the state as well. Some states are less than others. You pay a property tax here, but tiny.

30 pounds a week to provide very little in return is not peanuts. That is money a person could invest for their own future. 1600 a year from the age of 18 compounded would give someone at least 200,000 pounds. Instead they end up with a mortgage and that damn tax. It is a con.

You are an idiot. You make your living teaching a subject which falls under 'The Humanities' . You yourself are more guilty than most of dumbing down culture and tradition and the very things you pretend to stick up for. The Classics, English, History, Art, Philosophy etc these are the things that Western Culture is built upon, ever since the Renaissance. As opposed to Divinity? Do you not understand that very simple distinction. Things like Social Anthropology are the most scientific of the humanities but are much closer to the sciences than your airy fairy EFL discipline.

It constantly amazes me how you can hold up pricks like Piers Morgan, the very icon of MSM, who hacked the phones of dead children for fucks sake, as some kind of barometer of sanity. No wonder you love sociopaths, you don't even understand yourself.

There are no 200,000 properties since 1990

    Try 500,000 and up

    Double the rate

Now, Baltimore has a property tax rate of $2.249 per $100, more than twice as high as any in the state. That high rate is among one of the many factors holding the city’s population from growing again. It has lost 39% of it's population since 1950, including Anne Arundel, Montgomery and Prince George’s.

You can get a 6 bedroom home there for that price. Do you have a lot of children? I find it hard to believe that such a property would be in a ghetto. And why did you get the property tax so wrong if you lived there? Surely you know how much property tax you paid. When did you live there?

You're not in a position of finding anything hard to believe since you have never even been here and don't even know what a getaways and never lived in one. You're living in your Ivory tower in the most homogeneous country in the world I have never even visited the United States and think you can get all your information from the internet.

Yeah and like there was never a six-bedroom house in a ghetto. Dude you don't know anything about the United States you should stick a sock in it before you embarrass yourself anymore.

Been here? So you are still in Baltimore despite having told lies about property prices, property taxes, and failing to counter the view of an articulate person who stated that a fair home could be bought for 75,000 dollars. If it is such a terrible place why would you stay in a 272,000 dollar house and not move somewhere nicer. Yet you claim one cannot find a nice home for a reasonable price. Other Americans have countered your views. Are they using the Internet? You sound like a fraud.

Please Gandalf, don't destroy this guys credibility any further, we may need to put him on suicide watch, poor little guy. He has been weighed, he has been measured and he has absolutely been found wanting (Knightstale) .
