Put simply, austerity was an effort to make Britain less like Europe, and to drag us back into some fantasy never world where we would be more like the USA. Fuck that . That is regression. You are a young often naive and backward nation, and you jut can't accept that, but it is the truth. You ape a lot of what others create and usually fuck it up by not really understanding it and you yourself are a classic example of that. Often clueless but blithely trudging on.
