How did he get on against Vince Phillips? I know what boxrec says but that doesnt tell the story. Do tell.

Cotto looked like he had stamina trouble towards the end of his fight with N'dou.
Pinto pulled out of the Hatton fight due to 100 degree fever. He's not big enough name to be waited on, so Hatton moved on. As for the Phillips fight, I have that fight. In it Pinto got off to slow start against Phillips, but came on in the 3rd round. He cut Phillips badly in the 4th. But for some reason (replays show it was a punch) it said to be cause by a head butt. Phillips couldn't continue, so it went to the cards. Phillips was ahead on points and got the win. A win that should of gone to Pinto by TKO. Link pretty much says what I said.

Do you have any clips of Pinto? The only one I could find was him against Cotto
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

I think if the replay show's it was a punch the result should have been changed!
is there gonna be a rematch between the 2?

There's no instant replay in boxing. And there will be no rematch since Pinto was so disgusted with result he didn't know if he wanted to continue fighting. And he hasn't since.

I am a huge Hatton fan..

His style does lend itself to getting snuffed out himself. his relentless aggression is so crowd pleasing yet it has risks. fighters that could beat Hatton at 140

    Cotto Toss up
Castillio I would favor Hatton in this.
Ricardo Torres I would Favor Hatton
Diego Corrales He could catch Hatton with something, however I favor Hatton , Corrales chin is shit
Jesus Chavez would be very good match-up , Chavez could easily make the 140 mark.
Floyd Mayweather Hatton will have to move up to get him, I like Hatton's chances. but favor
    Mayweather at 147

Agreed mate on all fronts. Except PBF at 147. If this came off then i think both of them would come in slightly under the limit and about the same weight fight night, so would make for an intriguing bout.

Hatton has talked about Cotto being the biggest danger to him, and he would prefer to leave this fight to be his last. But again that all depends what weight both are campaigning at when that time comes.

VD, you really don't like Hatton do you

Castillo may but I think all the wars will catch up to him sooner or later and hATTON's roughouse tactics are troublesome for anyone. Corrales,I'm not sure,as I don't think Chico will fight at 140 and Mayweather, yeah I think PBF is the only 1 I can see decisively beating Hatton but it would not be easy for Floyd at all.
If you don't consider Pinto that good Mr Jetson then don't give Cotto any credit for beating him

I got nothing against Hatton. I think he's a good fighter. I just don't think he can beat Castillo, Cotto, Corrales or Mayweather. I would take him over Torres or Chavez

Try and list 3 fighters at 140 that could beat Hatton.

    Hatton

    1) PBF
    2) JLC
    3) Cotto

Maybe even Juan Diaz if he steps up a weight class.

you people reckon juan diaz could beat hatton now? no way! if diaz moved up hatton would bully him all over the ring and juan wouldn't know what hit him. diaz has got a good body shot aswell but hatton break him.

Hatton can't beat Mayweather. His style is very similar to Jesus Chavez style. Who Mayweather stopped in 8. Hatton will suffer a similar fate. I don't see how Hatton is too busy for Cotto, considering Cotto has never shown stamina to be a problem. I think Cotto is stronger than Hatton and would stop him in a shoot out. Castillo would as well. Corrales and Pinto are very similar in built. Hatton would naturally attack the body and in the process leaving himself open to power shots. Corrales in 3. Pinto in 5.
So you've got all those guys to beat Hatton thoroughly inside the distance

Mayweather vs Hatton- Mayweather late stoppage or Decision.
Cotto vs Hatton- Pick 'em fight.
Hatton vs JLC- Hatton gets the edge.
Hatton vs Chico- Hatton stops him.
