All I have argued is that I think racism is overplayed and that people need to display more agency if they want to get ahead. In my own case it meant not being like my own useless parents. It is one way, but there are others such as being a good parent and checking homework, assisting with intellectual concepts, monitoring friends etc. I would prefer kids to be nurtured and for oppprtunity to open that way. There are differences between everyone and some will do well and others will do badly.
