Awesome to see him back. I hearing hints that his comeback may lead to an eventual Ioka clash.

roman gonzalez has hinted that he will return in february, in a title shot at a superflyweight belt

Nah you haven't lost your marbles yet mate, it was originally hoped to be on December 14th but Estrada was having hand issues. It was then planned to be on card featuring Farmer vs Diaz, headlined now by Andrade vs Keeler on January 30th, but Estrada is was still having hand problems, so for the time being it is off.

It seems that Andrew Moloney is legally trying to force a title shot in Yafai. This may stop a potential fight with Gonzales
Kal Yafai vs. Roman Gonzalez 2020年2月29日
So there it is. Truth is if there's one he'll excel with at 115 it's Yafai. Hard to erase the memory of Chocolatito being walked through like a shallow rain puddle but that's not what Yafai appears to be capable of. It's a winnable fight even though Gonzalez is slower older and getting hit more and maybe he'll get sliced to threads. Or Yafai runs out of ring space and sits down with him in close one too many times . But a perfect tee up for a 7 year off Estrada rematch I guess.

Good fight to see how much Chocolatito has left. Yafai is a solid fighter. If chocolatito can’t win, then I think it’s time to hang them up. He is getting old especially for lower weight classes and has proven a lot.
If he wins though, I really hope it sets up a rematch with Estrada. It would be a nice little comeback story if Estrada could get revenge.
Err, Estrada gave him a very close fight eight years ago two weights below, and they've been going in opposite directions over the last few. Hardly a comeback story or "revenge", surely?
I'd also like to see Gonzales win this and look good mind you.
gonzalez wanting that comeback fighter of the year award
