Uzbek v Roman was good, diaz farmer was also acceptable and then two rubbish fights, the YouTube fight was at least car crash funny... The andrade mismatch was crap though.. Andrade has to be mad at himself for not being able to finish this way sooner, he landed some nice punches but this didn't make andrade look good at all in my opinion.... Overall acceptable for a Thursday.

The Roman fight was good and a close fight. I had the Uzbek winning close. A rematch would be nice.

Did Diaz expose Farmer? I think he did. Diaz is a solid fighter, but he isn’t great. Diaz beat him basically every round. Farmer I think has just been matched up well recently and marketed well.

Jojo Diaz overcomes horror cut to beat Tevin Farmer and become world champion

Jojo Diaz fought through a horrific cut to beat Tevin Farmer and become world champion on Thursday night in Miami.

The 27-year-old American picked up the injury by virtue of an accidental clash of heads in round two and commentators initially speculated the bout would surely be stopped as a result.



However, due to the lack of blood flowing from the wound, Diaz was able to battle on.

The fight itself displayed a clash of styles.

Slick boxer Farmer was pressured by Diaz, who was initially foced to adjust his game plan somewhat because of the cut.

By the second half he’d adapted and it was barely affecting him as he appeared to win every round down the stretch.



When the fight reached its conclusion Diaz was declared the winner with scores of 116-112, 115-113, 115-113.

He celebrated with pure elation as the decision was read out and he was crowned world champion for the first time in his career.
