Anyone into the books? My mates a massive Bond fan, loves the books, loves the films. Always said that the screen Bond, until Craig was never really Bond. Connery was closest otherwise because Bond was a bit of a cunt, stands to reason I guess.

Whoever the successor is, I hope they go back to making him smooth and debonair.
I'm afraid they might slowly devolve into the "more brawn than brains" type, in which case you'll eventually end up with Vin Diesel.
I'm a fan of the Bond franchise, and thus don't get into all the Connery vs Moore vs Brosnan debates. They all did good, long stints as Bond and I enjoyed their movies.
At least all of them maintained the smooth, debonair image of Bond without having to chase dudes up and down construction cranes, getting poisoned by their enemies, or getting bamboozled by femme fatales to where they quit as 007's.![]()
