Cotto is a strong little bull, but Hatton would look good against him. I predicted and have proof of what would happen when Hatton would fight Collazo, even the aftermath. Cotto has power, Hatton has proved he could take power of Cottos when he went up in weight and ate Collazos shots. Cotto on the other hand likes to brawl as does Hatton, Cotto doesnt have the chin to take 1200 shots from Hatton and would get knocked out. And dont say Cotto could last with Hatton because he beat Torres, Hatton and Torres are noway near the same stylisticly nor chin.

I said Hatton wouldn't KO Collazo and it would be a CLOSE decision and everyone was looking past him as a sacrificial lamb. Now Im saying Hatton would look good and beat Cotto convinsivly via KO, by round 8.

    Mayweather would UD Hatton.

Castillo will be a real nightmare for Hatton, even when they get around to fighting..... but good luck Team Hatton.

    hatton VS
Mayweather late stopage, tko on cuts
Castillo has a good shot as long as the fight is in neutral ground and hatton cant use rough house tactitcs like he did against KT
    Cotto late stopage
    corrales I favor hatton

how can you say Collazo(26-2-12ko's) has the same power as Cotto(27-0-22 ko's) Collazo may fight at a higher weight class but if someone is breaking peoples bones he hits preety hard, Collazo and Cotto are noway near the same stylisticly or power.

Agreed and IMO Cotto will have more power when he doesn't have to drain himself as much to make weight.
If you have any question about Cotto's power, look no further than the faces of Gianluca Branco and Paulie Malignaggi

Show me anyone that Hatton or Collazo has done that to.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

I'm not sure. I just through his name in the mix as people who may give him trouble. Diaz is very quick and is constantly improving... but yes I agree with you it wouldn't be a good idea for Diaz to have Hatton as his first fight at 140. I would have to see how he does in a couple tune up matches at 140 before I could make a better prediction.

Mayweather=Calzaghe vs. Lacy at 140, Hatton being Lacy
Cotto=if Cotto uses his boxing ability and sets up his shots to the body Hatton wont last the 12 rnds
Castillo=too fast and strong as hell, iron jaw and would give Hatton a beating
Casamayor=too slick and quick, would move and hit

I am a big Hatton fan but I am not blinkered like some of them.

Cotto - no way he beats Hatton at 140. It would be close for a few rounds but Cotto would fade badly, as he always does and Hatton would come into his game. Cotto couldn't even stop Malignaggi at 140. Cotto wins at 147 by the way.

PBF - Mayweather has the edge but it would be a Duran / Leonard 1 type fight. Not sure who wins.

Cassamyour - are you real. No chance Hatton on points (convincingly)

Corrales - even for a few rounds Hatton mid round TKO. Corrales would fight the wrong fight and loose.

Castillo - this is the one I worry about. Castillo does everything Hatton does and some of it better. He beat Corrales twice remember if he hadn't cheated with the gum shield. What worries me is I dont think Hatton could have taken the punishment Castillo took in that fight up to being stopped. I fancy Castillo, just a strong feeling I have.

Harris - no chance, bottles it on the big event.

Witter - Hatton wins late TKO or on points as long as he is not stupid and is in and out ala Kostya.

    Just my thoughts.

Collazo is a good puncher if you watch his fights, hes a slick Southpaw aswell meaning Hatton didnt see most of those punches coming. Not seeing a punch coming magnifies the damage of a blow. Plus when you take into factor the additional weight which also amplifies the damage that shows us Hatton has a hell of a chin and he WOULD see Cottos punches coming. A boxer will be the one to beat Hatton not a brawler. Thats why I say Mayweather would destroy Hatton but Hatton would destroy Cotto because lets be honest Cotto doesnt have a good chin. Cotto was rocked by Malignaggi who has 5 KOs and has been rocked in just about every other of his fights. Hatton has the ability to eat 5 punches just to deleiver one, Hatton can do this for 12 rounds and thats the reason he is so successful. Cotto CANT last 12 rounds because he has both a weak chin paired with Hattons good power and he has stanima issues. Hatton can box too but not well enough to go against Mayweather.

Hatton wins via KO over Cotto in a impressive manner.

I will say Hatton is one of the best 140 pounders right now and he'd beat a lot of people just not these guys:

    Miguel Cotto - he's young, he's strong, he's HUGE at 140

Floyd Mayweather Jr. - he's slick he's too fast, he's got power and very fast hands (Hatton's style would be good to go against PBF though so it wouldn't shock me if he wore Floyd down)

Other than that all you have are "close match ups" and some "if-y" style fights

Castillo would be tough for Ricky but not impossible

Diego is tough but he'd be beat

Ricardo Torres a good tough fighter

Junior Witter a quick fighter good boxer

But honestly I would favor Ricky vs all those dudes

i think hatton can rule the 140 pound division for the rest of his career. i think corralis and castillo have their best days behind them. only if maywhether or cotto go back down to 140 will hatton be in trouble.
