Can great fighters make great trainers?

I think that Floyd could be a great trainer. My friend that sparred with him told me many times of the way that Floyd would teach him and educate him, about boxing in the ring and the business side as well. His style was very deliberate and well thought out, clearly something that he was taught and then built on.

Great fighters can make great trainers if they're training highly accomplished/talented fighters. There ain't a trainer in history called "great" without the fighter making his name. Trainers can lose dozens and dozens and dozens of times without ever being questioned. (doesn't mean they're not vital)
