Well second time actually, and when that happened, Floyd beat him.
do you think austin, floyd, erislandy, ggg & jacobs were clever matching?
Trout - meh ! Why shouldn’t he have fought him and beat him at the time? Or do you have to have a whole career of dead certs?
Floyd - no . I said that, if you care to look.
Lara - a lot of people thought he lost.
GGG - undoubtedly yes! I have to say it’s just as much Golovkin’s fault for hanging on Canelo’s nuts for the big payday. But there’s no doubt he waited for Golovkin to grow old . Have to say, he fully deserved his win and draw in my opinion .
Jacobs - kinda. I like Jacobs, but he wasn’t active enough in his career fights wise for whatever reasons , GBP took advantage of that and sneaked a win.
You make it sound like me saying he was cleverly matched is a criticism, whereas it’s not , if anything it’s a compliment. “Law of the Jungle, A-side,B-side” and all that.
But hey, i’ll See your names, and raise you Rhodes, Hatton, Gomez,Cintron , Moseley, Angulo, Kirkland, Khan, Liam Smith, Chavez, Fielding and Kovalev, and tell me he wasn’t “cleverly matched” against them?
Don’t get me wrong, with his record, I wouldn’t argue too strongly with his p4p ranking.
It’s not insulting him to say he could lose to Callum Smith and he would lose to Bivol and Beterbiev. they’re bigger guys with loads of power to someone who started at WW.
