Argentine WBC welterweight champion Carlos Baldomir has vowed to knock pound for pound king Floyd Mayeather jnr out when they clash at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas next weekend(Nov 4).

Speaking on a national conference call on October 24 the 35 year-old champion, who won the title by out-pointing Zab Judah, beleives his size and strength will allow him to dominate the world's No.1 ranked fighter.

"I wasn't able to knock Judah out because he kept holding on the whole time, said Baldomir". "But this guy(Mayweather) he's fast but I will be able to knock him out.

"Basically I'm just going to do what I am going to do. You guys forget that he's fighting at a heavier weight now. He's not going to be as fast as people think. Yes he's not going to be as fast. It's my plan. I'm just going to come in to fight. "I mean it's very simple; I'm going to come in to fight. Throwing punches throughout the whole fight and I will know when I hurt him. If I do hurt him he will end up going down."
